How much protein do you actually need?

A straight answer from our nutrition coach, with Indian food, not powders, at the centre of it.

A plate of dal, rice, paneer and salad after an evening session

For most people who train three or four times a week, 1.6 grams of protein per kilo of body weight a day is plenty. For a 70 kg member that is about 110 grams.

Dal, paneer, curd, eggs, chicken and soya get you most of the way. Spread it across three meals rather than saving it all for dinner.

A shake is convenient, not necessary. If you are unsure, bring a food diary for a week to your next review and we will go through it together.
